Our Story
We Started Realty Simplified, LLC To Improve The Process OF Homes Are Sold
Moving is one of life’s most stressful events, with months of uncertainty. We wanted to develop a process which could provide a simpler, faster and fair approach to selling a house. In 2014, we were purchasing a property in Houston. Very new to the home buying process, we were unaware of the chain of events that must occur in order to finally purchase a house.
- First, finding a real estate agent.
- Then searching and searching for the right property.
- Submitting several offers.
- Then, negotiating with sellers.
- Finally, getting one accepted.
- Going thru with an inspection.
- Then, renegotiating with a seller.
- Working with a bank and getting financing.
- Order a survey.
- Turn on utilities.
- Get an appraiser.
- Getting bank approval of personal financial statement.
- Almost to closing, but waiting a 3 Day mandatory HUD review.
- Finally, we close and 2 days later – seller receives proceeds.
This process hit home to not only to us as the buyer, but realized for sellers, this is a very antagonizing slow ordeal. If you are facing a dire financial problem, relocating for a new job, have bad tenants or perhaps just want to sell and move on, this a very slow process. We empathized with sellers and wanted to develop a quicker, simpler and fair alternative. And that was the beginning of our beautiful company.
